KANE — Nikky’s Dance Studio will present its fifth annual Christmas recital starting at 7 p.m. Saturday at Kane Area High School.

The show, titled “Silent Night,” will showcase the competition team’s many talents, including hip-hop, ballet, tap, lyrical, jazz, pointe and acrobatics for the whole family.

Organizers said the Christmas show is an exciting time for the dancers and will kick off the competition season. This year the team will attend four nationally acclaimed competitions over the next several months, with hopes to attend nationals. Along with receiving numerous trophies for high scoring routines, they received the 2016 Regional Champ Award and Star Dance Alliance Power Ranking, two routines received an invitation to the All Star Kids Convention, held in New York City, with master classes taught by the Rocketts. The team also received the Spirit Award for being the most polite and respectful studio backstage towards the backstage workers and other studios at Nexstar.

Nikky Ewing, studio owner, also received prestigious a choreography award from Nexstar National Talent for her choreography of the dance “Imagine.”

The competition team members are from Bradford, Smethport, Kane, Eldred, Rew, Duke Center and Custer City.

Admission to Saturday’s show is $7.
