RIDGWAY — Ridgway-based state police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Randall Nero for allegedly pointing a gun at a St. Marys man at a camp in Jones Township.
Police said the warrant is for charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, possessing an instrument of crime and disorderly conduct, and is filed in the office of Magisterial District Judge James Martin in Johnsonburg.
No one was injured in the alleged altercation, police reported.
Police identified the victim as Damien J. Dippold, 61, of St. Marys.
Police said Nero entered a camp at 164 Naval Hollow Road and argued with the multiple occupants of the camp. He was asked to leave, but pulled a handgun from his jacket pocket, pointed it at Dippold while he was standing near him and fled the scene, police reported.
