RIDGWAY — Ridgway-based state police are investigating a report that a man pointed a handgun at people Friday night in a Jones Township camp.
No one was injured, police reported.
Police did not release the name of the suspect. However, they identified the victim as Damien J. Dippold, 61, of St. Marys.
Police said the suspect entered a camp at 164 Naval Hollow Road and argued with the multiple occupants of the camp. He was asked to leave.
The suspect then pulled a handgun from his jacket pocket, pointed it at Dippold while he was standing near him and fled the scene, police reported.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, and criminal charges are pending against the suspect.
