LIMESTONE, N.Y. — On Nov. 27, a special Thanksgiving presentation took place at the Limestone United Methodist Church to honor veterans.
Veterans in attendance were called forward to receive quilts, which were handmade by women who meet weekly at the church. They worked on the gift quilts between April and November.
The quilts were presented to the veterans in a coordinated pillowcase to represent a duffel bag.
Receiving quilts were Jim Cochran, Eugene Dixon, the Rev. Robert Beard, Jack Peters, Dolores Hatch, Loren Heimbach, Jim Hunt, Leyo Griffin, Jim Kirk, David Mills and Jerry Peterson.
