ST. MARYS —”Sister’s Christmas Catechism: The Mystery of the Magi’s Gold” is being performed this Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Elk County Catholic High School auditorium.
Tickets for this off-Broadway show are $25 at the door.
It’s “CSI: Bethlehem” in this holiday mystery extravaganza as Sister takes on the mystery that has intrigued historians throughout the ages — whatever happened to the Magi’s gold? (“We know that Mary used the frankincense and myrrh as a sort of potpourri — they were in a barn after all.”)
Retelling the story of the nativity, as only Sister can, this hilarious holiday production finds her employing her own scientific tools and being assisted by a local choir as well as a gaggle of audience members to create a living nativity unlike any you’ve ever seen.
The doors will open at noon and seating will begin at 1:15 p.m.
A basket giveaway will be held to benefit Elk County Catholic School System.
Complimentary snacks and beverages will be available at intermission.
The Elk County Catholic Music Boosters will also host a Spaghetti Dinner featuring Luigi’s Ristorante of DuBois’s spaghetti and meatballs. Dinner begins at noon and includes spaghetti, meatballs, breadstick, side salad, and dessert. Prices are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
