Following the Thanksgiving break, the 26th annual chess league competition resumed at School Street Elementary School on Wednesday.

After round three, Prestige: Awards & Jewelry holds first place in the varsity division. In the junior varsity division, Dr. Gonzalez and Lang Surveying are tied for first. Dexter’s Service Center is in second place, and Tasta Pizza is in third.

In the JV section, Peyton Haight (captain for Tasta Pizza) is tied for first place individual along with Tim Mulcahy (captain for Drs. Rhinehart), Rhys Kennedy (Dexter’s Service Center), and Mallory Whitlow (Dr. Gonzalez).

Only Josh Kramer (Prestige: Awards & Jewelry) remains with a perfect score in the varsity squad. Mike Jones (captain of the Main Street Mercantile Team) currently has two and a half points.
