ST. MARYS — The St. Marys City Police Department telephone system may not be accessible beginning about 7 a.m. Friday due to scheduled improvements.

Work is scheduled to be completed before noon; however, unanticipated issues which may extend that end time are always a possibility.

Police remind residents to always dial 911 in an emergency.

Citizens requiring non-emergency assistance may contact police by calling Elk County Emergency Services at 814-772-0000 if they are unable to reach the police station. Officers may return calls via blocked or private phone numbers during that time, so callers are asked to be prepared to answer if a blocked number appears on the call ID.
