ALLEGANY, N.Y. — The Allegany Area Historical Association has announced that Christmas events will be held this weekend in Allegany.
A Christmas cookie sale, sponsored by the historical association, will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Nature’s Remedy, 120 W. Main St.
Then, the historical association will hold its 34th annual Community Christmas Service at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Heritage Center at 25 N. Second St. The Rev. James Vacco, O.F.M., from St. Bonaventure Church in Allegany, will conduct the service.
A collection of money, canned goods and paper products will be taken to benefit Genesis House.
