The First Wesleyan Church of Bradford will be holding its fourth annual Camo Sunday event from 10 a.m. to noon this Sunday.
This year’s guest speaker will be award-winning and nationally known writer Steve Sorensen, the Everyday Hunter. He is the winner of the 2015 “Pinnacle” award given by the Professional Outdoor Media Association. During his presentation, Steve Sorensen will speak about his latest articles, one involving the hunting nun from St. Marys.
Camo Sunday was started by the Rev. Chris Terbush, who served as the pastor of the First Wesleyan Church of Bradford from 2012 to 2015. The concept behind Camo Sunday was to present the gospel message to the public in a fun and creative way while in a relaxed atmosphere. He came up with the idea of Camo Sunday after watching an episode of his favorite TV show, “Duck Dynasty.”
Also, the members of the First Wesleyan Church will once again be giving gifts to a few random attendees. A dinner will follow Sorensen’s presentation. All individuals and groups are welcomed to attend Camo Sunday. This event is free and opened to the public.
Participants are invited to wear camo attire or hunting gear if possible. Also, the members of the First Wesleyan Church ask all those attending Camo Sunday to not bring any firearms or hunting knives inside the church for safety reasons.
