SMETHPORT (EC) — The Pennsylvania Department of Education has announced the Seneca Highlands Intermediate Unit Nine in Smethport will host an Individuals with Disabilities Education Act refresher workshop from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Dec. 1.

Presenters will be educational consultants of the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network, an initiative in the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Bureau of Special Education that cooperates with families and educational agencies in supporting programs and services to improve student learning and achievement.

Besides providing knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding the process of identifying and providing services with disabilities, the session will also be interactive in providing clarification and opportunity to interact with regulatory information and school-related scenarios.
