A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail in Smethport on allegations there is an arrest warrant for him from Tennessee for theft charges.
At 12:22 p.m. Tuesday, Foster Township Police were called to Walmart, where Curtis Dean Howard, 27, of 24 Orchard Place, Apt. 601, tried to buy a firearm. It was found that Howard had a warrant from his arrest out of Tennessee for a charge of theft over $10,000/under $60,000, a felony, court records stated. The warrant was signed Feb. 4.
Howard was arraigned Tuesday in Pennsylvania before Magisterial District Judge Richard Luther on one charge of being a fugitive from justice. He is being held in jail without bail.
