The CARE for Children board of directors will host a reception as part of its annual meeting at 6 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Bradford Club.
During the event, the board will honor Greg and Cherie Booth with the 2016 Community CARE Award. The award recognizes the volunteerism and outstanding contributions which the Booths have provided in support of CARE’s mission of improving the lives of local children of all abilities and their leadership in the Building Campaign, which culminated in the construction of the Ashley Booth Griffin CARE for Children Center.
The board will also honor CARE staff who have reached 5, 10 and 15-year milestones for years of service to the organization. The cocktail reception will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Following the program, guitarist Jim Ronan will perform.
Reservations for the annual meeting will be accepted through Nov. 28, and can be made by calling the CARE office or by emailing reception@careforchildren.info. The cost is $25 per person.
