A Bradford man is being cited for careless driving for allegedly crashing his pickup truck into a parked vehicle on East Main Street Nov. 6.
According to Bradford City Police, at 12:26 a.m. Nov. 6, a pickup truck driven by Terry Fuqua, 32, of Bolivar Drive, was traveling east on East Main Street when the driver became distracted, entered the parking lane and struck a legally parked vehicle, owned by Jessica Foster of East Main Street, which pushed the vehicle into a utility pole.
Police said Fuqua got out of his truck to assess the damages, realized his vehicle was causing a traffic hazard and attempted to move it out of the street, but the truck was severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
When Bradford City Police arrived, officers tested Fuqua’s blood alcohol content using a breath test, finding it at .02 percent, well below the legal limit of .08 percent.
He was, however, cited with a summary offense of careless driving.
Police said Fuqua’s airbag deployed, and he suffered a possible minor injury.
Foster’s vehicle had severe damage, and was towed from the scene as well.
Fuqua is a new hire with the City of Bradford Police, with a starting date of Nov. 21.
