SMETHPORT (EC) — Instead of having a guest speaker Saturday at its annual Veterans Day Dinner, Bucktail American Legion Post #138 in Smethport will honor its memorial team that assists at veterans’ funerals.
The social hour is from 5 to 6 p.m., with dinner scheduled at 6 p.m.
As members of the memorial team fold the American flag, explanations will be given at each of the 13 steps.
The Post Everlasting Ceremony will honor the approximately 20 members of this team who have passed away in recent years.
