PUNXSUTAWNEY — Pennsylvania State Police Troopers will once again be participating in the “Click it or ticket” traffic enforcement program from Nov. 14 through Nov. 27 in area municipalities.
In McKean County, the program will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 18 at the McKean County EMA Building/911 Center, located on Route 6 in Smethport.
In Elk County, the program will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 22 at the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Building located on Saint Leo Avenue in Ridgway.
Troopers will examine all child restraint seats for proper installation, and parents will receive instructions on how to correct any deficiencies.
During the “Click it or ticket” program, troopers will be adopting a zero-tolerance policy toward any violation of the Commonwealth’s seat belt and child passenger restraint laws. In conjunction with this aggressive enforcement approach, troopers throughout Troop C will be conducting regulatory checkpoints and child safety seat checkpoints.
