COUDERSPORT — A Shinglehouse man has been charged with failing to fulfill reporting requirements under Megan’s Law for sex offenders.
Jeremy Barney, 20, of 320 E. Academy St., is charged with one first-degree felony count of failing to comply with registration requirements.
According to court records, Barney was at the Coudersport barracks to update his vehicle information as required under Megan’s Law. When answering questions regarding registration, Barney admitted to having a cell phone for at least a year, but had not provided that information to police as required.
He was arraigned Thursday night before District Judge Annette Easton and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
