The Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce and Signature Sponsor CNB Bank have announced the eighth annual Cruisin’ into Christmas: Christmas Memories Parade will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 18 on Main Street.
Area businesses, non-profit organizations, fire departments, school bands, classic car owners, and dance teams are asked to submit their registration forms for the parade as soon as possible, but no later than Nov. 11.
Forms may be picked up at and returned to the Chamber of Commerce office at 121 Main S. from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (Thursdays – extended hours until 6 p.m.), or at either Bradford CNB Bank location on Chambers or East Main streets. They can also be emailed by request to those interested in participating.
Chamber of Commerce officials said cash prizes will again be awarded for six different divisions, including best holiday music arrangement by a school band, best holiday float by a business, best holiday float by a non-profit organization, best decorated classic car, best holiday arrangement by a dance team, and best decorated fire truck.
In each category, prizes will be $200 for first place and $100 for second place. The best human Christmas tree category will also return this year, with a first place prize of $100 and second place prize of $50.
CNB Bank will have a tent with giveaways and treats located on Main Street in front of the bank, which will also be the location for the judging as parade entries pass by the bank’s volunteer judges. Chamber of Commerce officials said Individual parade entries should not include a live Santa on their float or in their group, as Santa will cruise into town as the last unit of the parade.
Questions regarding the parade may be addressed to Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kara Kennedy at 814-368-7115 or kara.kennedy@bradfordchamber.com.
