A fugitive wanted on a parole violation in New York state was arrested late Saturday night in Bradford, city police reported.
Bradford City Police took to social media Saturday afternoon warning residents of a person they described as a felon who was wanted for absconding from New York State Parole. Police stated the man, Nicholas Allen Zentz, 21, was also wanted for questioning in connection to a vehicle theft investigation in Pennsylvania.
At 5:06 p.m. Saturday, police reported that Zentz was last seen about 3:30 p.m. on East Main Street running into the woods in the direction of Oak Hill Cemetery, and they asked anyone with information to contact police. It was well into the night on Saturday when police returned to social media to say he was captured.
Online court records indicate it Zentz went before Magisterial District Judge David Engman around 1 a.m. Sunday, when he was committed to McKean County Jail in Smethport without bail due to the out-of-state warrant.
No Pennsylvania criminal charges against Zentz could be found as of press time Sunday on the state’s online docket system.
