KANE — A Kane man will face a preliminary hearing next month on allegations that he trespassed in another man’s home, argued with him after a drug deal and taunted the other man into attacking him.
Russell Ferraro, 36, of Field Street, is charged with criminal trespass, a third-degree felony; and harassment, a summary offense.
According to court records, on Sept. 16, Ferraro entered the Wetmore Township residence of Josh Bodistow and “engaged in an argument following a drug deal.” Ferraro taunted Bodistow, saying “hit me, hit me, if you don’t I will,” the records read. So Bodistow complied, striking Ferraro on the head with crowbar, causing a skull fracture.
He then followed Ferraro to his vehicle, where he struck the driver side window of the vehicle, shattering it while Ferraro was in the driver’s seat.
Ferraro remains incarcerated on $20,000 bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 9 a.m. Nov. 14 before District Judge David Engman.
Bodistow was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment, and is jailed on $10,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Nov. 14 before Engman as well.
