The Zonta Club of Bradford held its dinner meeting Tuesday at Togi’s Blue Room.
President Julie Kleinberger called the meeting to order at approximately 6 p.m. and welcomed guest speakers Kelly Nugent, Rilan Galicic, Richie Brand, Zach Hadfield, Francine Augustine, Tina Moore, Chelsea Erick, Alecia Myers, David Demers, Emily Kenyon, Jasmina Hajdarevic and Dr. Lisa Fiorentino.
They are all University of Pittsburgh at Bradford BSN nursing students of Dr. Tammy Haley. They presented their research they conducted in a McKean County Community Immunization Survey.
Julie Kleinberger reminded members to make their donations to the operating budget by the end of October. She announced that the District Zonta UN trip is Nov. 17, and registrations must be made by Nov. 1. Anyone able to volunteer to help take coats at the Festival of the Trees should contact Fran Runyan.
Karen Cassin, chairperson for the Advocacy Committee, announced that Nov. 21 begins Zonta International’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence and Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women campaigns. She asked that members share the Zonta Facebook page pictures and information regarding this topic. Posters will also be distributed throughout the community.

Joan Piscitelli announced that she will bring 12 tags for The Era’s Less Fortunate (ELF) Fund to the next meeting.
