An Emporium man is facing criminal homicide charges after a murder that happened late Wednesday night. State Police in Emporium are investigating the death of Deborah Lynn Gerlach in her home. They allege that she was killed by Michael Fuller Courtney.
Courtney was taken into custody last night by state and local police in a parking lot, and he was arraigned before District Judge Barry Brown on charges of 1st and 3rd Degree Murder, and Aggravated Assault charges.
Courtney is in the custody of the Cameron County Sherriff’s Department without bail.
