SMETHPORT (EC) — The popular Long Branch Saloon returns to the Smethport American Legion today with daily hours and food through Saturday.
Today’s entertainment schedule includes John Berne from 4 to 6 p.m. and Dreamwolf-DJ Jeff from 7 to 11 p. m. On Thursday, Two Guys Drinking’ Beer will be featured from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday’s schedule will be Double Shot from 7 to 11 p.m. From 7 to 11 p. m. on Saturday, Marshmellow Overcoat Acoustic has been booked.
Special tribute will be paid to veterans of the Gulf War, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn at 8 p.m. Thursday.
Since it was established in 2003 with proprietors Reid and Cindy Matteson and Sonja Covert, the saloon is open for a few days every year. It provides plenty of old-time western atmosphere and features a truly one-of-a-kind rustic bar built and donated by American Legion members.
