The Bradford Bridge Club is sponsoring three bridge classes designed to enhance the game of current bridge players.
All classes will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Community Room of the Bradford Area Public Library.
The first class, titled “An Introduction to Duplicate Bridge,” will be held on Jan. 19. The class will include an overview of duplicate bridge bidding, use of bidding boxes and pre-dealt hands, and scoring. Each participant will receive a brochure summarizing the material presented.
On Feb. 2, a discussion of the bid 1 No Trump and the responses to that bid will be presented. Use of conventions such as Stayman and transfers will be explained.
The final class will be held Feb. 16, and will cover the use of doubles in bidding. Take out doubles, negative doubles and business doubles will be covered.
The charge for each class is $15 or $40 for all three. A minimum of six participants is required for each class. For more information or to register for classes, contact Maxine Davis (778-5207) or Nancy Gleason (598-8166).
