The Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) is hosting a family cookout for members and their families from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Mystic Waters Resort in Limestone, N.Y.

The BACC event is open to all who are part of a Chamber member business or organization or have an individual membership, as well as the families of employee members.

According to Kara Kennedy, event coordinator, this is the second year for the event; it was started last year by the BACC and had a successful turnout.

“We wanted to do something family-friendly,” Kennedy told The Era on Friday afternoon. “The cookout on July 23 is open for members to bring their children and come relax, socialize and enjoy the evening with other chamber members in a family-friendly environment.”

The cookout will include a picnic buffet consisting of barbecue chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, baked beans, macaroni salad, fruit, chips and assorted pies. There will also be beverages available, including a variety of soda, water and assorted draft beer and wine for adults.

Activities at the event will include miniature golf, the driving range, games and giveaways. Participants will have the opportunity to receive a ticket for a round of miniature golf or a bucket for the driving range.

Advance tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for children ages 5 and under. All tickets purchased at the door will cost $2 more. Tickets are available at the Chamber office at 121 Main St. or by calling (814) 368-7115.

Mystic Waters Resort is located at 620 Parkside Drive, Limestone.
