PORTVILLE, N.Y. — Plant expert Bernadette Clabeaux will offer a plant paradise program starting at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pfeiffer Nature Center, Eshelman Preserve, at 1420 Yubadam Road in Portville.
For the program, Clabeaux will spotlight a wide variety of plant friends found along the wetlands, scrub areas and forests found on the Eshelman Preserve. She will discuss plant diversity and explain why each plant thrives in a particular habitat. The identification of invasive species and how they are changing our ecosystems will also be explored.
There is a $7 fee for each participant. Reservations are required by 4 p.m. Thursday by contacting the center’s administrative office at 716-933-0187 or visiting the website at www.pfeiffernaturecenter.org.
