DUKE CENTER — Garrett Brugh pitched a no-hitter and Heath Stewart’s three-run double capped a game-ending, nine-run fifth inning that gave Otto-Eldred an 11-0 victory over Northern Potter in high school baseball action Friday.
Brugh recorded 11 strikeouts in his five innings of work, while giving up just two walks.
The Terrors were clinging to a 2-0 lead when they broke the game open in the fifth.
Brugh helped himself in the big frame by driving in two runs, while Seth and Sawyer Drummond were each credited with an RBI in the inning.
The Drummonds each had a double in the game as well and Brugh went 2-for-3 to help O-E square its record at 3-3 on the season.
“The kids played a great game both offensively and defensively,” said Brian Freer, O-E coach.
Losing pitcher for Northern Potter was Tyler Cowburn. He gave up nine hits, had one strikeout and issued four walks.
The Terrors return to action Monday at Coudersport.
