The Northwest Region wrestling championships begin today and run through Saturday, with Class AA at Sharon and Class AAA at Altoona
A number of local wrestlers, including five District 9 champions — Bradford’s Kyle Langdon, Port Allegany’s Casey Vollmer, Smethport’s James Duffy, Cameron County’s Jack Karsten and Port Allegany’s Ethan Budd will be looking to punch their tickets to the PIAA championships.
Here’s a breakdown of each bracket. Wrestlers are listed in the order the bracket is set up, with the winners of the first two matchups facing each other, and so on. In case of double-byes in Class AA, those werstlers will face each other in quartefinals.
