The scores were closer, but the outcome stayed the same.

The Bradford Owls’ swim teams squared off with DuBois for the second time this week, with DuBois earning the sweep, the girls (2-4) by a 96-73 margin and the boys (0-6) 108-54.

“I felt like we bounced back tonight,” said Bradford coach Katrina Placer. “The kids had some great swims and their times are staying consistent.”

Bradford saw a number of improved performances, led by Cara Webster, Jessica Buchheit and Donna Good on the girls side and Max Shanks and Jared Schwab for the boys.

Webster won the 200 IM, while Buchheit took first in the 50 Free and Good in the 100 Free. Schwab and Shanks, meanwhile, teamed with Curtis Rodgers and Jonah Gunter to win the 200 Medley Relay, with Shanks taking first in the 100 Fly and Schwab in the 100 Backstroke.

“I was pleased with the overall team performance,” Placer said. “We had some nice swims tonight from Cara Webster, Jessica Buchheit and Morgan Whitlow for the girls and Luc Smith and Ethan Flexman for the boys.”

Bradford is back in action Monday, traveling to Brookville.
