The Kinzua Fly Fishing School will hold fly tying and rod building classes this winter.
The classes will be held at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford (Room 159 of the Sport & Fitness Center).
All classes will meet at 6 p.m. starting Jan. 29. The classes are scheduled each Thursday evening through March 5.
The registration fee is $60 for the rod building or beginner fly tying classes.
All tools and materials needed for the five-week course will be supplied for the beginning fly tying class. (Former fly tying students may take a beginner’s course again for a $30 fee).
Experienced fly tyers will be offered the opportunity to tie flies, share ideas or get help on various techniques. The cost for this class will be $30. Carl Zandi will be organizing this course.
In addition, rod building class students may purchase rod blanks and components at a discounted price.
