The Bradford High boys golf team improved to 7-1 with a 163-260 win over visiting Brockway Monday at Pine Acres.
For the Owls, District 9 Class AAA individual champion Mitch Faulkner was medalist with a 36, while fellow regional qualifier Matt Moonan was second with a 38.
“The last three holes we got poured on,” said coach Travis Faulkner of the weather. “Mitch and Matt did an excellent job against. They think they could have shot a few shots lower had the rain not come.”
Brayden Snyder shot a 43 for the Owls and Evan Piganelli 46.
“Brayden Snyder did really well,” Faulkner said. “As a team, we improved to 7-1 and are hoping to close out with a win against St. Marys tomorrow.”
After St. Marys, the Owls, as D-9 Class AAA team champions, will play in sub-regional action Friday at the Silver Course at Treasure Lake.
On Oct. 14, Faulkner and Moonan will play in the western regional at Toms Run in Blairsville.
