READING — The Aftershock ladies travel softball team captured first place in the annual Pig Pit Fastpitch Softball Tournament at the Trout Run Sports Complex.

Aftershock went undefeated over the weekend, scoring 58 runs and giving up only 18.  

Makenzie Burr hit a home run in Game 2 to lead the team past Team Pegasus. 

The team is made up of players from Austin, Roulette, Hinsdale, Port Allegany, Shinglehouse, Bradford and Eldred.

Team members are Kaylee Brooks, MaKenzie Burr, Torrey Cassidy, McKaila Daniels, Kaylee Ernst, Rylie Hoffman, Samantha Metzer, Kylee Schaumleffel, Ashley Stoltz and Joslynn Veilleux.  

Previously, the Aftershock placed in tournaments in Olean and Hagerstown.

The ladies were coached by Will Daniels, Matt Burr, Bruce Brooks, Roger Veilleux and Larry Cassidy.
