Harold “Ike” and Marian E. Johnson Silvis of Bradford will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on July 2. 

They were married July 2, 1949, in Freesburg, N.Y., by the Rev. Frieberg, and their attendants were Sara Swanson and Pastor Paul Beck.

Ike Silvis worked at National Fuel Gas for 25 years before retirement.

Marian Silvis, formerly of Mount Jewett, worked at KOA Speer for 25 years before retirement. 

Both liked to bowl and golf over the years.

They have three children, Richard B. Silvis of Virginia Beach, Va., David H. Silvis of Bradford and Bradley D. Silvis of Erie; and three grandchildren.

A family gathering to celebrate their anniversary will be held in September.
