LOCK HAVEN (AP) — Police in Lock Haven say the pilot wasn’t injured after a J-2 Piper Cub crashed into a backyard, landing in a small tree and on a shed.
The Williamsport Sun-Gazette reported Saturday that the unidentified pilot was participating in the Sentimental Journey Fly-In at William T. Piper Memorial Airport, an annual event.
A witness tells the paper the Friday afternoon crash at a home on Main Street wasn’t very loud, sounding more like someone pulling into a driveway.
A police officer says the pilot wasn’t injured but wore a neck brace afterward as a precaution.
