SMETHPORT — A Port Allegany man entered a guilty plea on Thursday in McKean County Court to drug charges stemming from two separate cases.
Travis Smithmyer, 20, pleaded guilty in one case to a charge of possession with the intent to deliver a counterfeit controlled substance and in the second case to a charge of criminal use of a communication facility. According to Assistant District Attorney Kristjan Whiteway, on Sept. 22, 2013, Smithmyer delivered 0.5 grams of the drug molly, which contained methylone — or bath salts. Then, on Sept. 23, 2013, he arranged a marijuana sale.
He will be sentenced May 8.
Also in court, Lee M. Gourley, 29, of Albion, pleaded guilty to one charge of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance. Whiteway said on May 13, 2013, Gourley conspired with others to deliver suboxone. He will serve one to three years in state prison and 12 months of probation.
Steven P. Skaggs, 53, of Bradford, pleaded guilty in two separate cases to a charge of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance. On both May 2, 2013, and June 7, 2013, Skaggs delivered 0.5 ounces of marijuana, Whiteway said. He will be sentenced May 8.
Christina M. Kohlmeier, 19, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft by deception. Between Oct. 1 and Nov. 3 in 2013, Kohlmeier took $2,575.47 in groceries and cigarettes from the convenience store where she worked by making it appear that she was ringing them up with the cash register when she was not, Whiteway explained. She will be sentenced May 8.
James H. White, 58, of Buffalo, N.Y., pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of crack cocaine. Whiteway explained the drugs were found on Jan. 22, 2012, when police went to the room where White was staying after he was assaulted with a hammer by Larry Shroyer. White will serve 70 days to 12 months in McKean County Jail with credit for eight days of time served.
Trisha D. Wilkins, 29, of Port Allegany, pleaded guilty to charges in two separate cases. She’s charged in one case with simple assault and a summary charge, and she’s charged in the second with simple assault. According to Whiteway, on Feb. 16, she engaged in a mutual fight with her husband while under the influence of alcohol; then, on March 19, she engaged in a mutual fight with her sister. She will serve 30 days to 12 months in McKean County Jail credit for 30 days of time served and 11 1/2 months of probation, and will complete 60 hours of community service.
Lee A. Hulings, 31, of Kane, pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault. According to Assistant District Attorney Philip Clabaugh, on Feb. 23, Hulings grabbed his sister and threw her against a wall. He will be sentenced May 8.
David Rivera, 24, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of resisting arrest and summary charges. Whiteway said on Nov. 30, 2013, while Rivera was arguing with his girlfriend, he broke down the door of the bathroom, where she was hiding from him. When police arrived and tried to take Rivera into custody, he tried to get away, and officers had to use Tasers on him. He will be sentenced May 8.
Natasha L. McCormick, 30, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to one charge of retail theft. Whiteway said on Oct. 12, 2013, McCormick took items valued at $9.78 from a convenience store. She will serve 12 months of probation and complete 100 hours of community service.
