BROOKVILLE — Behind six strong innnings from Andrew Bacha, Bradford High earned its first baseball victory of the season, defeating Brookville 3-1 Thursday.
Bacha struck out seven, allowed three hits and one unearned run as Bradford improved to 1-3. John Obermeyer pitched in relief.
The Owls had RBI singles from Sawyer Packard and John Pantuso.
Brookville pitchers Zack Byerly and Sam Clowes combined on the mound to give up three hits, fan six and issue seven walks.
Bradford returns to action Monday hosting Olean, N.Y.
In the JV game, Bradford (1-2) beat Brookvill 9-2.
Bryce Skaggs (3-for-4, double), Alex Rinfrette (2 hits) and Mike Butler (2 hits) led Bradford at the plate.
Butler earned the mound win.
