SMETHPORT — Another game, another no-hit effort for the Smethport pitching staff.
Sarah Vinca and Dynah Kimble combined on a no-no Wednesday, as the Lady Hubbers improved to 7-0 with a 11-0, five-inning win over Northern Potter.
They joined teammate Brooke Kane-Walker, who no-hit Austin Monday in a doubleheader sweep.
The duo struck out five and issued one walk.
“We played a really strong defensive game behind them,” said Smethport coach Dr. Jim Kane. “We looked very polished out there. We made the plays we were supposed to make and made them look easy.”
Vinca also starred at the plate, collecting a pair of hits, including a triple. Kane-Walker and Quinn Burdick also doubled and had a pair of hits each.
Next up for Smethport is a showdown at home today with Coudersport.
