RIDGWAY — Accused murderer Nick Martin, 22, of Johnsonburg, had his formal arraignment in Elk County Court on Friday morning during Elk County’s return day, where he pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Security was ratcheted up for his appearance. All entry into the courthouse was strictly controlled through the front door, where everyone went through a security checkpoint immediately upon entry. A second security check was held on the second floor before anyone was permitted to enter into the courtroom.
Martin was handcuffed and shackled and Elk County Sheriff Jeff Krieg escorted him to and from the Elk County Prison to the courtroom.
Martin is accused of murdering 18-year old Ridgway teen Alyssa Forsyth on March 23 at 416 First Ave., Johnsonburg.
