SHARON — Smethport High School senior Karl Lightner will be leading a contingent of five Big 30 wrestlers who’ll be going to Hershey for the state tournament next weekend.
Lightner, remaining undefeated on the season, won the132-pound title Saturday night at the PIAA Class AA Northwest Regional championships. He became the Hubbers’ first titlist since Jon-Marc Burdick was the program’s first and only title in 2008.
