The eighth annual Bradford Town Wide Garage Sales will begin at
9 a.m. Saturday throughout the Bradford area.

Main Street Manager Anita Dolan said on Monday that there are
approximately 70 to 80 individuals signed up to participate in this
year’s community-wide garage sale.

“Spring cleaning is the perfect time for yard sales,” Dolan
said. “It’s community wide and a fun thing to do.”

This year’s goal is to pass out 1,500 brochures which map out
the locations of participating homes and list what types of items
each yard will have.

“I just hope the weather is nice,” Dolan said.

Although the deadline to register has already passed, Dolan also
encourages those in the community who have not registered to join
the event anyway this Memorial Day weekend.

“It adds to the whole map,” Dolan said. “It adds to this
community event.”

Areas of participation extend from Derrick City, Olin Road, to
West Washington Street and U.S. Route 219 South.

“The radius expands every year,” said Dolan. “I encourage
everyone to take a look at the map and get an idea of what people
have listed. There will be a lot of amazing antiques, baby’s
clothes and collector’s items.”

Maps for the event may be found at any Crosby Mini Mart and the
Main Street Mercantile, located at 96 Main St. in Bradford. 

The event is sponsored by the Downtown Bradford Business
District Authority.
