For several years, one resident of the
Jefferson Street/Leland Avenue area has been imploring Bradford
City Council to do something about the blighted conditions present
in the neighborhood.
“As an almost lifelong resident of this neighborhood, I have
watched it go from a neat well kept neighborhood to one in serious
decline,” said Fran Bottone on Wednesday. “There are still some
well kept homes, some owned by the same families for the last 40 or
so years, but there are also “pockets” of run down rental
properties, and a few privately owned that are in deplorable
condition and probably should have been demolished long ago.
