A pair of Warren County players headline this week’s Don Raabe
Big 30 Charities Classic player additions.
Cody Crosby of Eisenhower and Michael Jaskolka of Warren are two
of the three Pennsylvania additions. They are joined by Shawn
Kronenwetter of St. Marys.
Crosby, 6-4, 210 pounds, was a quarterback/punter for the
Knights.
He will be attending Gannon University to play football and
major in mechanical engineering.
Crosby’s honors include being named to the All-Region teams his
junior and senior years in football, basketball and baseball. In
addition, he was an All-District punter, a Pennsylvania Football
News All-State punter, the 2009 Wendy’s Heisman Pennsylvania Male
Athlete of the Year Award winner and an Associated Press All-State
second-team selection as punter.
Crosby set 12 school records involving passing, PATs, punting
and defensive touchdowns.
“This will be great meeting and getting to know other players
from around the region,” he said.
Jaskolka, 6-0, 195 pounds, was an offensive lineman/defensive
lineman for the Dragons.
He plans on attending Penn State Behrend to major in biology and
become a physician assistant.
Jaskolka’s honors include being a four-time district qualifier
in wrestling and track and field, a four-time letterman in
wrestling and track, and a three-time letterwinner in football. In
the classroom, he is a member of the National Honor Society and
reached Merit Roll status.
“This gives me one more chance to play football and end my
career with a bang,” he said of the Raabe Classic.
Kronenwetter, 6-0, 190 pounds, was a running back/linebacker for
the Dutch.
He plans to attend Westminster College in New Wilmington for
four years and play football at the next level. Kronenwetter will
study criminal justice and pursue a career in law enforcement.
His honors include High Honor Roll with a 4.0 grade-point
average, two varsity letters in football, a member of the 300-pound
club and 150 Percent Club for bench pressing, as well as many other
academic awards.
“I want to play in the Big 30 game because I want to have the
chance/opportunity to play with fellow athletes from surrounding
school districts before moving on to the college level,”
Kronenwetter noted.
